Description:
We’re offering an Animator Trainee role for someone who’s excited to turn ideas into movement and still images into performance — no prior experience needed, just passion, discipline, and a love for animated storytelling. You’ll assist our animation team in creating believable, expressive motion for characters across games, cutscenes, or short films. We’ll teach you core animation principles, frame-by-frame thinking, and how to make motion support narrative and emotion. You’ll help block out animation scenes, polish timing, and bring subtle gestures or bold actions to life. You’ll collaborate closely with game designers and programmers to make sure animations feel good in players’ hands — not just look good in isolation. We’ll show you how to match style, maintain consistency, and keep animation readable and purposeful. You’ll help animate walk cycles, reaction shots, idle animations, and emotional beats — all with a focus on storytelling. You’ll help export animated sequences, organize scene files, and contribute to studio-ready delivery folders. You’ll also learn how to match visual tone across characters, assets, and effects within a shared animation language.
Basic Qualifications:
- Create fluid, expressive animations for characters, objects, or environments in 2D or 3D formats.
- Maintain a high attention to detail, especially in fast-paced or high-volume pipelines.
- Troubleshoot timing issues, bugs, or rigging problems during implementation.
- Animate everything from subtle facial expressions to complex action sequences.
- Work efficiently within tight feedback loops and shifting creative directions.
Preferred:
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional team alongside illustrators, designers, and developers.
- Wants to grow into roles like Senior Animator, Animation Director, or Technical Animator.
- Enjoys making things come to life through gesture, rhythm, and visual impact.
- Familiar with principles of motion graphics and kinetic typography as a bonus skill.
- Values movement as a storytelling tool and emotional amplifier.
Benefits:
- You bring characters to life — and we give you the space to do it.
- Animate moments people will pause, replay, and screen-record.
- Experiment with styles — from fluid realism to cursed rubber hose loops.
- Get shoutouts on social when your scene makes fans lose their minds.
- We care about smooth motion *and* your emotional well-being.
You’ll also support testing, bug fixing, and re-importing animations as gameplay systems evolve. This role is perfect for someone who watches how enemies wind up before they attack or how a reload feels in a shooter. This role is perfect for someone who sketches out poses just to feel how they flow — and wants to get better every day. You’ll build confidence in working with timing charts, key poses, and pacing based on story beats or player feedback. You’ll work on production-ready content that contributes to real-world projects and your own demo reel. You’ll understand not just how to animate, but how to communicate visually through motion. You’ll leave with confidence, direction, and a solid foundation for character-driven animation work. Let’s animate something memorable, one frame at a time.
