Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and accurate Transcriptionist to join our remote team and provide high-quality transcription services. You’ll transcribe interviews, webinars, lectures, and other media, ensuring every word is captured with precision. You’ll ensure all transcripts are clear, complete, and error-free, accurately reflecting the content of the audio. You’ll work with a range of file formats, ensuring each transcription meets the client’s specific requirements and expectations. You’ll proofread and edit transcriptions to eliminate any errors, ensuring the final product is polished and precise. You’ll handle sensitive and confidential materials with discretion and follow strict confidentiality protocols. You’ll assist in ensuring that all transcriptions are delivered on time, managing multiple projects without compromising quality. You’ll be using transcription software to increase productivity while ensuring your output meets the highest quality standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use tools like Express Scribe, Otter.ai, Descript, or manual methods to complete transcriptions efficiently and precisely.
• Follow legal or medical terminology guidelines (if specialized) and verify technical terms through research when necessary.
• Stay focused during long sessions—transcription requires mental stamina and active listening.
• Mark unclear audio with timestamps or tags (e.g., [inaudible], [crosstalk]) and follow up when clarification is needed.
• Handle rush orders or urgent transcription requests while still meeting quality expectations.

Preferred:

• Uses transcription shortcuts, foot pedals, or playback tools to enhance efficiency.
• Familiar with transcription tools like Otter.ai, Express Scribe, Descript, or manual text editors.
• Organized with file naming, time tracking, and delivery processes.
• Experience using timestamps, speaker tags, and formatting tools efficiently.
• Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
