Description:
We’re hiring a Caregiver to provide daily support to elderly clients — ideal for someone who values patience, dignity, and helping seniors maintain independence and comfort at home. You’ll assist clients with everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility, always with sensitivity and respect for their independence. You’ll prepare simple meals, help with feeding if needed, and ensure proper hydration and dietary routines are followed. You’ll stay alert throughout the night, ready to respond to calls, movement, or signs of discomfort. You’ll help with walking, transferring from bed or chair, and using walkers or canes safely around the home. You’ll support household tasks like vacuuming, laundry, and tidying to create a peaceful, clean space. You’ll collaborate with parents, therapists, and educators to maintain consistency and reinforce goals from home to school. You’ll rotate shifts that include quiet overnight presence, daytime care, or support during family visitation hours. You’ll be trained in fall prevention, nighttime mobility support, and gentle repositioning techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
- Be reliable, punctual, and compassionate—someone families can trust and depend on.
- Provide end-of-life comfort and palliative support when working in hospice or long-term care.
- Take pride in making a real difference in someone’s quality of life, every single day.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities if transportation is needed.
Preferred:
- Able to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while respecting the dignity and privacy of clients.
- Comfortable working in private homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings depending on the client’s needs.
- Pays close attention to hygiene, skin care, and dietary needs based on client routines or medical recommendations.
- Willing to accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings while ensuring safety and comfort.
- Enjoys building trust and improving the quality of life for those in need of care.
Benefits:
- You’ll be part of a team that values your emotional intelligence and compassion.
- Access to mental health resources — we support your well-being with resources to help you manage the emotional aspects of caregiving.
- Consistent and reliable scheduling — you know your shifts in advance and can plan accordingly.
- Job security in a field that’s always in demand — people always need care, especially as they age.
- Work that’s fulfilling — knowing that you are making a real difference in someone’s life every day.
You’ll document daily routines, notes, and concerns to keep family or case managers updated. You’ll be expected to work with emotional strength and quiet empathy, even during difficult or sacred moments. You’ll be expected to work with compassion and professionalism — even through meltdowns, communication struggles, or repetitive routines. You’ll receive guidance from daytime staff and pass along complete reports to ensure continuity of care. You’ll help create moments of calm — soft music, warm lighting, or small kindnesses that make all the difference. You’ll receive support from care coordinators who understand the realities of elder care and advocate for both client and caregiver. You’ll provide peace of mind not just to clients, but to their families, knowing someone is awake and attentive. If you're ready to help someone age with dignity and comfort, we’re ready to train you and welcome you to our care team. If you’re ready to be the quiet guardian through the night, we’re ready to welcome you into overnight caregiving.
