Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our growing online community. You’ll be responsible for enforcing community guidelines, ensuring a respectful and welcoming environment for all members. You’ll assist with the moderation of both text and voice channels, keeping conversations friendly, productive, and respectful. You’ll collaborate with other moderators to resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that all community guidelines are followed. You’ll help organize and moderate community events, ensuring engagement and participation from all members. You’ll stay active in the community, participating in discussions and ensuring that members adhere to server rules. You’ll collaborate with the community management team to gather feedback, track trends, and suggest improvements for the community experience. You’ll assist in creating and updating server rules, guidelines, and FAQs to keep the community informed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be adaptable—what works in one server or phase of growth might not in another.
• Avoid power-tripping or playing favorites—moderation is about fairness, not ego.
• Support events, announcements, or partnerships by pinning messages, tagging roles, and helping manage live interactions.
• Actively engage with members to encourage participation, keep conversations flowing, and defuse tension early.
• Help track server suggestions, bug reports, and user feedback—passing them on to admins or developers as needed.

Preferred:

• Values fairness, communication, and teamwork in all community interactions.
• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.
• Background or interest in online communities, gaming, education, or fan spaces.
• Eager to support a community they believe in and contribute positively to its growth.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.

You’ll help promote community events, campaigns, and updates, encouraging active participation from all members. You’ll moderate voice channels and text channels, managing permissions and handling spam or inappropriate content. You’ll monitor the server for any rule violations and take appropriate action to maintain a positive and inclusive environment. You’ll provide feedback and suggestions to improve the community’s health, ensuring members feel heard and valued. You’ll assist in gathering feedback from community members and report any concerns to the management team. You’ll stay up to date with Discord updates and features, ensuring the server is utilizing the latest tools to improve user experience. This remote position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to an exciting online environment.
