Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician to support the maintenance and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings — perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, responsive, and experienced in keeping public spaces powered and safe. You’ll install outlets, light fixtures, panels, and switches during home builds, renovations, and service visits. You’ll install outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels, and conduits according to local and national electrical codes. You’ll be responsible for installing conduit, cable trays, bus bars, and grounding systems according to safety codes. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment such as transformers, switchgear, pumps, compressors, and control panels. You’ll assist with wiring for new installations and system upgrades during plant expansions or shutdowns. You’ll assist in retrofitting buildings with energy-efficient lighting, motion sensors, and smart paneling as needed. You’ll use meters, IR cameras, megohm testers, and oscilloscopes to monitor performance and identify problems. You’ll coordinate with janitorial, security, HVAC, and IT departments when electrical work overlaps with their systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep accurate logs of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing equipment like multimeters and circuit tracers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit schematics accurately.
• Understand and install energy-efficient systems such as LED lighting or solar components.
• Run wiring through walls, ceilings, and conduits while following safety and code regulations.

Preferred:

• Capable of conducting routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and upgrades to existing systems.
• Open to working varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime for urgent jobs.
• Background or strong interest in electrical systems, building trades, or energy technology.
• Comfortable training or mentoring apprentices and junior technicians on job safety and wiring standards.
• Able to identify and resolve electrical faults, overloads, and wiring issues efficiently and safely.

You’ll be expected to work in wet, dark, hot, or confined conditions, sometimes with limited information and time pressure. You’ll follow all safety protocols for live work, lockout/tagout, confined space access, and public area precautions. You’ll be expected to bring strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service to every appointment. You’ll be expected to work professionally around staff, guests, or tenants — often while systems are live. You’ll receive support from senior techs and industrial supervisors who will mentor your work on advanced systems.
