Description:

We’re looking for an Illustrator Trainee who’s excited to bring characters, moods, and stories to life through thoughtful, expressive visuals — no professional experience required, just heart, dedication, and a pencil or stylus you love to use. You’ll assist in developing visual assets for digital and print projects, including characters, icons, backgrounds, and editorial pieces. We’ll teach you how to follow style guides, work within design systems, and ensure your illustrations serve both function and story. You’ll assist in creating characters, environments, and decorative elements that reflect tone, audience, and style direction. Expect to explore different styles, from flat design to textured, expressive illustrations, depending on the project’s tone. You’ll practice ideation through sketching, refining lines, and using feedback to improve clarity and composition. We’ll guide you in building balanced compositions, exploring color theory, and refining line work with clarity and consistency. You’ll gain experience using tools like Illustrator, Procreate, or Figma to organize and deliver professional artwork. You’ll learn to receive feedback constructively and iterate based on composition, contrast, clarity, and rhythm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Participate in creative reviews, brainstorms, and storyboarding when illustrations are part of a larger campaign.
• Document your process for portfolios, presentations, or team knowledge sharing.
• Maintain flexibility in switching between styles, tones, and audiences depending on the brief.
• Translate abstract or technical ideas into visuals that make people feel or understand something instantly.
• Revise sketches and final artwork based on feedback, while maintaining creative integrity.

Preferred:

• Proficient in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or Clip Studio Paint.
• Willing to adapt style between minimalist, detailed, flat, textured, or hand-drawn aesthetics.
• Background or passion in illustration, visual arts, graphic design, or animation.
• Comfortable illustrating for different formats such as posters, packaging, websites, or animation assets.
• Experience creating illustrations for books, branding, social media, games, or editorial use.
