Description:

We’re looking for a dynamic Online English Tutor to help students improve their English language skills through personalized lessons. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that focus on improving reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. You’ll teach a variety of English topics, including grammar, writing, speaking, listening, and reading comprehension. You’ll provide clear explanations of complex language concepts, helping students build a solid foundation in English. You’ll provide constructive feedback on assignments and during conversations, helping students improve their language abilities. You’ll help students prepare for exams by reviewing practice tests, offering test-taking strategies, and addressing their concerns. You’ll foster a positive learning environment, making lessons enjoyable and engaging through interactive activities and exercises. You’ll work with students to help them prepare for English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, and others.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated with modern ESL/TEFL techniques and integrate new strategies when appropriate.
• Use a mix of real-life examples, role-plays, and interactive tools to make lessons practical and enjoyable.
• Provide regular updates to parents (for younger learners) or progress summaries for adult learners upon request.
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism—respecting student time and showing up prepared, even across time zones.
• Create a safe learning space where mistakes are welcomed as part of growth, not something to fear.

Preferred:

• Experience preparing students for tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or general conversation practice.
• Wants to grow into roles like Curriculum Designer, ESL Coach, or Academic Coordinator.
• Fluent or near-native level of English with clear pronunciation and grammar.
• Uses online resources like ESL worksheets, YouTube, or news articles effectively.
• Open to working with students across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
