Description:

We’re hiring an enthusiastic Online English Tutor to help students master the English language through personalized lessons. You’ll be responsible for teaching English to students of all ages, providing personalized instruction based on their proficiency level. You’ll create customized lesson plans to focus on areas such as grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking skills. You’ll provide constructive feedback, encouraging students to improve their speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. You’ll assess student progress and provide regular feedback to keep them motivated and on track to achieve their learning goals. You’ll assist students in preparing for standardized English tests like TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge English exams. You’ll assist students in improving their pronunciation, fluency, and vocabulary through targeted exercises and practice sessions. You’ll help students prepare for English exams by reviewing key test-taking strategies and focusing on areas of weakness.

Basic Qualifications:

• Incorporate current events, pop culture, or student interests into lessons to keep content relatable and fresh.
• Provide regular updates to parents (for younger learners) or progress summaries for adult learners upon request.
• Assign homework, reading tasks, or writing exercises that reinforce class topics and support independent study.
• Maintain clear communication with students (and/or parents) regarding scheduling, cancellations, and expectations.
• Help students build self-study habits by recommending apps, podcasts, or reading materials in between lessons.

Preferred:

• Uses online resources like ESL worksheets, YouTube, or news articles effectively.
• Open to working with students across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
• Pays attention to student confidence, motivation, and engagement during lessons.
• Able to manage one-on-one or small group sessions remotely with professionalism.
• Familiar with CEFR levels (A1–C2) and basic language assessment principles.
