Description:

We’re hiring a motivated and dedicated Discord Moderator to join our team and help build a positive online community. You’ll be responsible for enforcing community guidelines, ensuring a respectful and welcoming environment for all members. You’ll assist in resolving conflicts, addressing inappropriate behavior, and fostering healthy interactions within the community. You’ll help organize and moderate events such as discussions, Q&As, and community activities, keeping the server active and engaging. You’ll work with the moderation team to address inappropriate content, provide warnings, and take action against rule violations. You’ll work closely with other moderators to implement and enforce server rules, ensuring consistency and fairness. You’ll manage spam, bots, and disruptive content, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. You’ll moderate voice and text channels to ensure the server remains friendly, informative, and free of spam or disruptive behavior.

Basic Qualifications:

• Tag the right roles, use bot commands correctly, and maintain clarity in mod-logs and moderation actions.
• Warn, mute, kick, or ban users when necessary to address spam, harassment, or other rule violations—using moderation tools like Dyno, Carl-bot, or MEE6.
• Help track server suggestions, bug reports, and user feedback—passing them on to admins or developers as needed.
• Report serious incidents or repeat offenders to server admins with detailed logs and context.
• Step in quickly during conflicts, escalating only when necessary and explaining actions transparently when possible.

Preferred:

• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.
• Understands the importance of respectful communication and positive community culture.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.
• Organized and responsive, especially when it comes to scheduled shifts or task reminders.
• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Moderator, Community Manager, or Event Lead.

You’ll collaborate with the management team to create strategies to grow the community and increase engagement. You’ll track and report on community health, providing regular updates to the team and offering solutions to any issues. You’ll stay up to date with Discord updates, ensuring the server’s functionality and moderation features are optimized.
