Description:

We’re looking for a diligent and resourceful Online Research Assistant to help gather, analyze, and summarize data for various projects. You’ll conduct in-depth online research, compiling information from reliable sources and presenting it in an organized manner. You’ll sift through articles, reports, and databases to extract relevant data and present it in an easy-to-understand format. You’ll synthesize research into clear, concise summaries, making sure the most important points are highlighted for the team. You’ll assist with market research, competitor analysis, and finding actionable trends that can guide decision-making. You’ll use various online tools, including search engines, academic databases, and industry reports, to conduct thorough research. You’ll ensure all research materials are accurate, credible, and up-to-date by carefully verifying sources and facts. You’ll provide support in a wide range of topics, from market research to technical data, and everything in between. You’ll work across a variety of topics, from market research to industry analysis, adapting your approach based on the project.

Basic Qualifications:

• Turn unstructured requests (“Find me examples of X in Y industry”) into structured research projects with clear deliverables.
• Manage multiple research tasks at once, prioritizing deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
• Summarize findings clearly in Google Docs, Notion, or spreadsheets—highlighting key points, links, and insights in a clean format.
• Assist in building lead lists, contact sheets, or outreach databases by researching names, roles, and emails from trusted tools.
• Continuously refine your research skills, tools, and strategies to improve speed and accuracy over time.

Preferred:

• Familiar with niche databases, LinkedIn search, academic journals, or market data tools.
• Able to evaluate the reliability of websites, articles, and statistics before citing them.
• Open to receiving feedback and refining results for clarity or focus.
• Knows how to fact-check and cross-verify from multiple sources before sharing conclusions.
• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Notion, Airtable, or Excel for tracking data.
