We’re hiring a Cook who enjoys working in a small, close-knit kitchen — someone who’s flexible, friendly, and takes pride in turning simple ingredients into great meals. You’ll prep, cook, and plate breakfast, lunch, or brunch items depending on the shift, always keeping quality and consistency in mind. You’ll help prep simple ingredients like veggies, sauces, and batters, learning the basics as you go. You’ll keep your station clean, ingredients fresh, and workflow efficient no matter how busy it gets. You’ll maintain a clean and organized station, following food safety standards and hygiene practices with discipline. You’ll learn how to handle knives safely, follow recipes closely, and understand timing in a working kitchen. You’ll communicate clearly with servers, making sure orders go out hot, accurate, and on time. You’ll help open or close the kitchen depending on your shift, handling everything from early prep to final scrub-downs. You’ll adapt to different roles on the line — from grill to sauté to salad — and support your team where needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Adapt to dietary restrictions, allergy requests, or last-minute menu changes without slowing down service.
- Be punctual and reliable—your presence is essential to the kitchen running smoothly.
- Respect portion sizes and plating guidelines to control cost and deliver consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sanitizing surfaces and tools.
- Communicate clearly with servers, hosts, or managers when delays or issues arise.
Preferred:
- Comfortable multitasking across prep, cooking, and cleanup responsibilities.
- Can assist with batch cooking, sauces, marinades, and dressings for daily service needs.
- Values precision, consistency, and passion in cooking for others.
- Willing to help with mise en place, inventory rotation, and checking for freshness or spoilage.
- Background or interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or food service.
