Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Film Director who can lead bold visual storytelling with intention, precision, and heart — someone who thrives at the intersection of vision and execution. You’ll be responsible for interpreting scripts, shaping narrative arcs, and ensuring emotional clarity in every scene. You’ll work closely with screenwriters, producers, and cinematographers to ensure narrative, pacing, and style are aligned from day one. On set, you’ll guide actors with empathy and clarity, helping them uncover the emotional truth of each moment. You’ll make key decisions on shot composition, lighting, sound, and movement — all in service of the story. We’re looking for a director who brings their own cinematic language — whether poetic, grounded, stylized, or experimental. We’ll rely on your ability to inspire trust, lead with confidence, and adapt quickly when production challenges arise. You’ll be present on set as both a leader and an artist — solving problems in real time while maintaining creative integrity. In post-production, you’ll oversee editing, color grading, sound design, and scoring to ensure everything clicks in rhythm and tone.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep the crew inspired, focused, and aligned—even when energy dips after long days.
• Review and approve shot lists, storyboards, and schedules before each production day.
• Lead the creative direction of the film, making decisions on tone, pacing, casting, and style.
• Work under pressure while juggling multiple creative, technical, and interpersonal demands.
• Provide final approval on the film’s pacing, tone, soundtrack, and overall feel.

Preferred:

• Enjoys guiding teams toward a unified creative vision from concept to screen.
• Comfortable pitching concepts, securing funding, or working within client or studio guidelines.
• Understands how to manage tone, continuity, and visual coherence across a full-length or episodic production.
• Passionate about crafting visually striking scenes that serve narrative and character arcs.
• Knowledgeable about permits, set safety, union rules, and scheduling tools in film production.
