Description:

We’re looking for a Nanny Trainee who’s interested in learning how to care for infants and toddlers with gentleness, structure, and attention to detail. You’ll assist the primary caregiver in managing daily routines that vary by age — from toddler naps to school pick-ups. You’ll support age-appropriate educational activities like counting games, shape sorting, basic reading, and memory-building exercises. You’ll be trained to recognize children’s emotional cues, respond calmly to upset behavior, and set gentle boundaries. You’ll be shown how to track small developmental milestones and support physical, social, and cognitive growth. You’ll observe how to introduce tummy time, age-appropriate sensory play, and gentle verbal engagement. You’ll help prepare snacks or simple meals, and learn how to accommodate allergies or special dietary needs. You’ll be responsible for tidying play areas, cleaning up after activities, and helping maintain an organized environment. You’ll learn how to create calm in a high-energy environment and help kids transition between activities without chaos.

Basic Qualifications:

• Follow daily routines such as nap times, feeding schedules, and hygiene tasks.
• Limit screen time appropriately and provide engaging offline alternatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the child's mood, milestones, and any concerns.
• Respect family boundaries while building trust and open communication with parents.
• Create a calm bedtime routine when working evenings, including bath, stories, and quiet time.

Preferred:

• Thrives in home-based, child-centered settings where flexibility and warmth are essential.
• Willing to assist with homework, school pickups/drop-offs, or extracurricular schedules as needed.
• Trained in first aid, CPR, or willing to obtain certification for emergency preparedness.
• Organized with managing the child’s clothing, toys, hygiene routines, and personal belongings.
• Patient, nurturing, and calm when handling temper tantrums, sibling conflicts, or emotional needs.
