We’re hiring a Freelance Resume Writer who can take an ordinary work history and turn it into a powerful personal brand. You’ll work with a wide range of individuals — from tech professionals to creatives to career changers — and tailor resumes to their unique journeys. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their experience, strengths, and goals. We’re looking for someone who can take raw career info and build a narrative that’s clear, confident, and credible. We’re looking for someone who can adapt their tone and structure depending on the client’s industry and goals. You’ll receive briefs or raw materials and turn them into professional, polished resumes ready for today’s job market. You’ll take messy drafts, scattered notes, or LinkedIn profiles and turn them into polished, professional resumes. Tone, voice, and clarity matter — and you know how to adjust them to fit each client’s personality and target role. You’re comfortable rewriting vague or generic phrases into impactful, results-based language.

Basic Qualifications:

• Gather information through intake forms, Zoom calls, or written notes to deeply understand each client’s career story.
• Collaborate with clients to define a strong personal brand, refining tone and positioning across resume and related docs.
• Deliver polished documents on time, incorporating client feedback and offering revisions where needed.
• Provide value beyond writing—sometimes clients just need encouragement, structure, or clarity.
• Translate technical or complex experience into plain, compelling language that resonates with recruiters and hiring managers.

Preferred:

• Familiar with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and how to optimize resumes for keyword matching.
• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Canva, or Microsoft Word for document creation.
• Comfortable writing LinkedIn summaries or cover letters as part of the service.
• Wants to help people tell their career story in a strategic and confident way.
• Pays attention to layout, consistency, and design without overcomplicating visuals.
