Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll install smart locks, keypads, fingerprint scanners, and mobile-controlled entry systems for homes, apartments, and businesses. You’ll remove old hardware, prepare doors and frames, and ensure seamless installation of new digital access products. You’ll assist with creating and maintaining master key hierarchies, issuing access levels by department or personnel. You’ll rekey locks, board up broken entries, and install new hardware on-site to restore safety immediately after incidents. You’ll drive a fully stocked mobile service vehicle with tools, blanks, key-cutting machines, and diagnostic gear for roadside work. You’ll work with brands like August, Schlage, Yale, and commercial access control platforms depending on the job. You’ll rotate between scheduled maintenance, installation projects, and urgent security calls based on your weekly route. You’ll maintain a clean, branded appearance and be ready to explain features in a friendly and clear way.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use specialized tools like picks, key cutters, drills, and tension wrenches with precision.
• Coordinate with property managers, police, or building contractors on complex lock systems.
• Handle safes, vaults, or secure storage units, including safe cracking when legally authorized.
• Ensure replacement parts and materials meet durability and safety expectations.
• Respect client confidentiality and maintain a high level of trust when handling sensitive access points.

Preferred:

• Licensed or certified as a locksmith (where required) with a strong understanding of local security regulations and locksmith ethics.
• Can follow blueprints, architectural drawings, or specs for large-scale keying and hardware installations.
• Comfortable working from a mobile locksmith van or in a shop setting depending on client needs.
• Able to diagnose lock malfunctions, extract broken keys, and replace damaged mechanisms efficiently.
• Thrives in independent, trust-based roles where technical skill and discretion are essential.
