Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee who’s ready to learn how to respond quickly, think clearly, and act compassionately in emergency medical situations. You’ll assist with setting up first aid stations and prepping mobile response gear before gates open to the public. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll learn how to treat minor injuries like cuts, sprains, fainting episodes, or heat exhaustion with professionalism and speed. You’ll be trained to adapt when resources are limited and hospital access takes 30 minutes or more by road. You’ll assist in lifting patients from hazardous environments and supporting their transfer to emergency vehicles. You’ll observe how paramedics coordinate with firefighters, police, and emergency command centers in joint response efforts. You’ll assist with coordinating responses to emergencies in loud, crowded, and sometimes chaotic spaces. You’ll be trained in basic rescue tools and how to move safely around unstable or dangerous areas under supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be the calm in the chaos—someone people trust in their most vulnerable moments.
• Reassure and support patients and their families in stressful, traumatic, or emotional circumstances.
• Help train new paramedics, EMTs, or interns when assigned to do so.
• Participate in debriefings or peer support after traumatic incidents to maintain mental health.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and follow legal, ethical, and medical guidelines at all times.

Preferred:

• Familiar with infection control practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and scene safety assessments.
• Willing to mentor junior EMTs or participate in public health outreach and first-aid education.
• Understands medical protocols, triage methods, and scope of practice defined by local or national regulations.
• Enjoys being the first to respond and make a direct difference in patient outcomes.
• Comfortable performing in both urban and rural settings with limited resources.

You’ll support ambulance restocking, minor vehicle checks, and route planning when GPS coverage is unreliable. You’ll help with communication between the on-site crew and dispatch, ambulance units, or event command centers. You’ll learn how to assist wheelchair transports, bariatric patient setups, or patients with mobility limitations safely and with dignity. You’ll work long shifts, often with little downtime, and learn how to maintain readiness, teamwork, and composure throughout. You’ll be mentored closely by rural responders who will teach you how to lead with compassion and think on your feet. No emergency experience is required — just patience, attention to detail, and a respectful bedside manner.
