We’re hiring an Online Chat Moderator who knows how to keep digital spaces respectful, positive, and on-brand. This role is about more than just deleting comments — you’ll be actively involved in building a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all users. This isn’t just about silencing negativity; it’s about setting the tone, answering basic questions, and helping foster a space people actually want to return to. You should have excellent judgment, the ability to remain neutral, and a knack for diffusing conflict with tact and clarity. Whether it’s a busy livestream or a quiet support channel, you’ll know when to step in and how to communicate effectively. A strong sense of fairness, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential — you’ll need to be calm under pressure and quick to de-escalate conflict without sounding robotic.

Basic Qualifications:

• Attend team syncs or mod check-ins to align on priorities, tone, and recurring issues.
• Collaborate with other moderators to provide around-the-clock coverage in different time zones.
• Be available for weekend or evening shifts if chat activity peaks during those times.
• Stay up-to-date with platform policies (Twitch, Discord, YouTube, etc.) and community tool updates.
• Support events, live streams, or launches by keeping chat clean, hyped, and on-brand.

Preferred:

• Takes feedback seriously and strives to improve communication style and decisions.
• Willing to work in shifts and collaborate with other moderators or team members.
• Pays close attention to detail and can spot problematic behavior or spam quickly.
• Able to follow instructions carefully and stick to moderation guidelines.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to respond clearly and respectfully.
