Description:

We’re looking for an Actuary Trainee who wants to learn how numbers shape the future of finance, insurance, and risk — no prior experience needed, just strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You’ll assist in developing financial models that help estimate uncertainty and support smarter decision-making. We’ll teach you how to work with data sets, clean messy inputs, and extract meaningful insights for actuarial use. You’ll help write technical documentation and support teams with spreadsheets, visualizations, and reports. Expect to explore how assumptions about age, health, behavior, and economy affect insurance pricing or pension planning. You’ll help update actuarial reports, check formulas, and validate the logic behind existing calculations. We’ll introduce you to loss triangles, exposure curves, and the building blocks of long-term projections. You’ll assist in creating reports and charts that help stakeholders make informed, risk-aware decisions. You’ll support scenario analysis and contribute to regular model updates based on fresh data inputs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Participate in quarterly or annual filings, helping to meet reporting deadlines without cutting corners.
• Break down large problems into smaller pieces, testing assumptions and dependencies carefully.
• Adapt models for use in new product lines or geographies as the business grows.
• Refine models based on actual outcomes to improve predictive accuracy over time.
• Collaborate with data engineers or analysts to streamline data pipelines and improve accuracy.

Preferred:

• Willing to assist in preparing reports, presentations, and technical documentation for stakeholders.
• Organized in managing data sources, documentation, and model version control.
• Understands regulatory environments and reporting requirements in insurance or finance.
• Background or strong interest in actuarial science, economics, risk management, or applied statistics.
• Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., SOA, CAS, IFoA) with exams passed or in progress.
