Description:

We’re looking for an Illustrator Trainee who’s excited to bring characters, moods, and stories to life through thoughtful, expressive visuals — no professional experience required, just heart, dedication, and a pencil or stylus you love to use. You’ll assist in producing illustrations for social media, editorial layouts, digital products, and storytelling-based projects. We’ll teach you how to follow style guides, work within design systems, and ensure your illustrations serve both function and story. You’ll support senior illustrators and art directors by preparing rough sketches, variations, and final assets. Expect to learn how to use light, shape, and rhythm to guide a viewer’s eye and deliver emotional clarity. You’ll get hands-on with tools like Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Clip Studio Paint — and we’ll help you learn whichever you’re new to. We’ll guide you in building balanced compositions, exploring color theory, and refining line work with clarity and consistency. You’ll gain experience using tools like Illustrator, Procreate, or Figma to organize and deliver professional artwork. You’ll help prepare illustrations for multiple formats, ensuring proper dimensions, resolutions, and file types.

Basic Qualifications:

• Create original illustrations that bring ideas, stories, or products to life across digital and print formats.
• Use tools like Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Clip Studio Paint to produce high-quality artwork.
• Develop character designs, scenes, icons, infographics, or decorative elements as needed.
• Maintain version control and backup your files so no good art ever gets lost.
• Collaborate with animators or developers when illustrations need to move or be interactive.

Preferred:

• Comfortable delivering clean, well-organized files in formats suitable for print and digital publishing.
• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Thrives in artistic, feedback-friendly environments with room for exploration and precision.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Illustrator, Art Director, or Visual Storyteller.
• Proficient in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or Clip Studio Paint.
