You know how to make a subject line pop without sounding spammy, and how to carry that momentum into thoughtful, brand-aligned copy that feels personal — not promotional. Your writing is clear, concise, and knows exactly when to be clever. From catchy subject lines to punchy preview text and engaging body copy, you’ll make sure every email has a voice, a purpose, and a reason to be opened. Whether it’s a product launch, a behind-the-scenes story, a curated roundup, or a weekly check-in — you’ll know how to write it so it *feels* personal and intentional. You write with empathy, edit with intention, and keep your language human — no corporate jargon, no fluff.
Basic Qualifications:
- Work with automation tools (like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or HubSpot) to preview, schedule, and QA emails.
- Be the voice readers recognize—and look forward to hearing from—in their inbox each week.
- Collaborate with designers to make sure layout and visuals enhance, not distract from, the message.
- Balance value and promotion—give readers something useful while still nudging them toward action.
- Bring personality and brand voice to every edition so subscribers feel a connection to what they’re reading.
Preferred:
- Familiar with email marketing metrics like open rate, CTR, and unsubscribe rate.
- Knows how to repurpose blog or social content into concise email formats.
- Organized with deadlines and capable of managing multiple email drafts at once.
- Keeps up with newsletter trends, formats, and strategies used by successful brands.
- Can follow brand guidelines and adapt to specific brand voices across different industries.
