Description:

We’re hiring a Musician / Composer Trainee to help us create original soundtracks, jingles, and background scores — no experience needed, just musical passion and a good ear. You’ll assist in composing melodies, background scores, sound cues, and short audio loops for digital content, ads, or video games. You’ll support our audio team by crafting melodies, experimenting with chord progressions, and creating mood-driven soundscapes. We’ll guide you through the process of scoring scenes, writing loops, and arranging music for various emotional beats. You’ll work on adapting musical cues to support tension, joy, surprise, or reflection — all without using words. You’ll dive into the basics of sound design, sampling, and building dynamic audio from scratch. We’ll show you how to make music that enhances rather than overpowers the visuals or narrative it supports. You’ll learn how to keep compositions tight, emotionally rich, and sonically balanced. We’ll guide you through licensing rules, fair use, and how to safely use third-party loops or samples.

Basic Qualifications:

• Compose original music tailored to various formats—film, games, ads, or live performances.
• Follow deadlines and adapt to last-minute changes or creative curveballs.
• Translate abstract direction (“make it feel nostalgic but hopeful”) into musical ideas.
• Play instruments or conduct live sessions to bring your compositions to life.
• Stay up to date with trends in sound design, scoring, and audio tech.

Preferred:

• Can collaborate with vocalists, instrumentalists, or producers on full-track development.
• Comfortable arranging music for solo, ensemble, or orchestral formats depending on project scope.
• Comfortable creating loopable background scores or one-off highlight cues as needed.
• Able to compose to picture, timecode, or thematic briefs for synchronized media work.
• Enjoys writing both standalone compositions and music that supports narratives or visual content.
