Description:
We’re looking for a Junior QA Tester to join our team and help ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. You’ll be responsible for executing manual tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to fix issues before release. You’ll collaborate with developers to identify and troubleshoot issues, ensuring defects are resolved in a timely manner. You’ll collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues. You’ll perform regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure software is working as intended. You’ll report defects in a clear and concise manner, working with developers to verify fixes and prevent future issues. You’ll collaborate with product teams to understand the requirements and provide input on testing strategies. You’ll monitor the progress of testing, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Be proactive in learning from senior QA engineers, documentation, or courses—your skillset will grow with every sprint.
- Stay organized in your workflow—track what’s been tested, what’s pending, and what needs retesting after changes.
- Keep test environments clean and up to date, working with developers if staging bugs prevent testing.
- Review release notes and confirm that all planned features or fixes are accounted for before sign-off.
- Help write and maintain documentation for test cases, QA processes, and known issues.
Preferred:
- Able to reproduce bugs based on user feedback or vague descriptions.
- Can collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers on issue resolution.
- Can write clear, step-by-step bug reports and communicate findings to developers.
- Thrives in detail-oriented work and contributes to building a more reliable product.
- Values clarity, communication, and consistency in test reporting.
Benefits:
- Every bug you catch saves someone a headache — and we *do* appreciate it.
- Work remotely and help ship products that don’t break (at least not on your watch).
- We support your learning — paid courses, mentorship, and time to skill up.
- We don’t expect perfection, just persistence, curiosity, and consistency.
- Your test plans, edge case notes, and screen recordings *actually* get read.
You’ll work closely with the QA team to ensure continuous improvement in test coverage and methodologies. You’ll manage test data and assist with creating environments for efficient testing and verification. You’ll create test reports to track progress and provide feedback to team members and leadership. You’ll contribute to optimizing the testing process, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and coverage. You’ll assist with preparing test environments, ensuring the necessary tools and platforms are ready for testing. You’ll help prioritize testing efforts based on risk, ensuring that high-priority features are thoroughly tested. This remote role gives you the flexibility to work from anywhere while playing a key role in the software development process. If you’re eager to learn about software testing and have a keen eye for detail, we’d love to have you on our team.
