Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Security System Installer Trainee — someone who’s good with their hands, eager to learn, and ready to enter the world of smart protection. No background in security or electronics? Your first tasks will be simple: carrying equipment, organizing tools, and watching how experienced techs work on-site. We’ll teach you how to install motion sensors, door contacts, surveillance cameras, and smart locks step by step. You’ll help set up systems that sync with mobile apps, smart assistants, and cloud storage for real-time access. You’ll quickly get familiar with ladders, cordless drills, testers, crimpers, and labelers — all tools of the trade. Expect to use drills, testers, crimping tools, cable fishers, and mobile tablets as part of your daily work. You’ll be part of real-world installs in homes, stores, and offices, seeing how we turn plans into protection. We’ll teach you to test systems, fine-tune motion detectors, and set up mobile access for customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Inspect old or malfunctioning systems and recommend replacements.
• Work with team members or independently, depending on the job size.
• Stay current with the latest tech in home and commercial security systems.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch or supervisors if delays or issues arise.
• Train users on mobile apps and remote monitoring features.

Preferred:

• Experience installing and configuring security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and motion detectors.
• Understands data privacy concerns and ensures client systems are installed securely and ethically.
• Can assist in training clients on emergency response procedures and system features.
• Familiar with configuring security software, mobile apps, or cloud-connected surveillance platforms.
• Can perform walk-throughs with clients to demonstrate how to use their new systems.
