Description:

We’re hiring a beginner Gardener / Landscaper who wants to turn hard work and sunlight into something beautiful. You don’t need a green thumb yet — we’ll help you grow it, one plant at a time. That’s totally fine — we’ll teach you how to plant, trim, dig, and care for green spaces step by step. We’ll teach you the names of common plants, how to care for them, and how to recognize when something’s wrong. You’ll learn how to compost, mulch effectively, and reduce waste while maintaining healthy green areas. You’ll begin to recognize plant types, understand soil conditions, and learn how sunlight and water affect growth. Expect to work outdoors in all weather — hot sun, cool mornings, and sometimes muddy ground — and go home with tired hands and a clear head. We’ll teach you how to shape hedges, edge walkways, spread fertilizer, and care for trees and shrubs. We’ll guide you through tool safety, plant identification, and eco-friendly techniques that protect local ecosystems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Plant, prune, water, and maintain a variety of flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns in residential, commercial, or public spaces.
• Adjust and maintain irrigation systems—checking for leaks, broken sprinkler heads, or scheduling issues.
• Read and follow site plans, blueprints, or garden designs to install and maintain landscapes accurately.
• Ultimately, shape and care for green spaces that are healthy, functional, and beautiful—bringing life to every outdoor environment.
• Trim trees, remove dead branches, and support proper tree structure using appropriate pruning methods.

Preferred:

• Comfortable working in teams or independently depending on project scope.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding labor.
• Knowledge of basic plant care, soil types, pest control, and irrigation practices.
• Background or interest in horticulture, botany, outdoor maintenance, or landscaping design.
• Able to safely operate landscaping tools and machinery such as lawn mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, or leaf blowers.
