Description:
We’re on the lookout for a Freelance Blog Writer who doesn’t just write — you *craft* content that hooks, holds, and delivers value. You instinctively understand what makes a piece valuable to readers, and you know how to deliver it with personality and precision. Whether it’s a deep-dive explainer, a product-driven article, or a light, conversational listicle, you know how to strike the right tone and keep the reader engaged. You’ll work closely with our content team or editors (sometimes solo), taking briefs or pitching topics, researching deeply, and turning drafts into polished, publish-ready pieces. You’ll be expected to take ownership of assignments from start to finish — researching, outlining, drafting, and refining with minimal supervision. You’re reliable, deadline-driven, and open to feedback without taking it personally. You’re not afraid to ask questions, push back (politely), or suggest a stronger angle when the brief feels flat.
Basic Qualifications:
- Keep an organized archive of drafts, revisions, and published links for easy reference.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in the industry or niche you’re writing about, so your content stays relevant.
- Adapt existing content into updated versions, listicles, or deep-dives without sounding repetitive.
- Submit polished drafts by deadline and revise quickly based on editor or client feedback.
- Repurpose blog content into outlines for newsletters, social posts, or short-form scripts if needed.
Preferred:
- Understands the difference between informative, persuasive, and storytelling content.
- Can take a brief or topic idea and expand it into a full, well-researched post.
- Experience using writing tools like Grammarly, Hemingway, or Notion.
- Able to manage deadlines independently and deliver content consistently.
- Knows how to write content tailored to specific audiences or niches.
Benefits:
- Your name goes on the work, and your opinion counts in meetings.
- You'll write pieces that people actually read — not just filler for SEO.
- Content calendars are collaborative — your ideas get greenlit.
- We believe writing is craft — and we pay accordingly.
- We treat you like a creative partner, not a content machine.
You understand that a good blog post isn’t just about what you say — it’s how you say it, when you say it, and whether someone’s going to Google it. You’re comfortable using tools like Google Docs, Grammarly, Notion, or even WordPress, and you’re not intimidated by CMS platforms. Familiarity with SEO best practices, WordPress, or content calendars? We’re building a stable of freelance writers we trust — and if you’re professional, easy to work with, and deliver consistently great content, we’ll keep coming back. You’re independent, professional, and easy to work with — the kind of writer who makes us say, “Let’s send them more work. Let’s make blog content that actually matters. Let’s create blog content that informs, inspires, and actually gets read.
