Description:

We’re seeking a skilled Translation Specialist to help deliver accurate, high-quality translations for a variety of content. You’ll be responsible for translating documents, websites, and marketing materials while maintaining the integrity of the original message. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, and product teams, to ensure all translations align with business goals. You’ll perform thorough quality checks, proofreading and editing translations to ensure they are free of errors and culturally appropriate. You’ll ensure that your translations are clear, concise, and free of errors, making them suitable for the target audience. You’ll ensure all translated content is properly formatted, taking into account industry-specific terminology and client preferences. You’ll work with various languages and specialties, including legal, medical, and technical documents, providing expert knowledge where needed. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple translation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and meet client expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Translate both general and specialized content (medical, legal, technical, financial, etc.) depending on your expertise.
• Respect deadlines and deliver high-quality translations on time, even under tight turnaround conditions.
• Translate written content accurately from one language to another, ensuring meaning, tone, and cultural nuance are preserved.
• Collaborate with editors, proofreaders, or QA reviewers to refine and finalize translated content.
• Ensure terminology is consistent within documents, especially for industry-specific or branded content.

Preferred:

• Can deliver translations in common formats like Word, Excel, Google Docs, or subtitles (.srt).
• Experience translating written content such as articles, websites, subtitles, or business documents.
• Understands confidentiality standards and the handling of sensitive or proprietary materials.
• Can adapt translation style depending on content type — legal, medical, technical, or marketing.
• Pays close attention to nuances, idioms, and phrasing in both source and target languages.

You’ll maintain and organize a database of translated materials to ensure consistency across projects. You’ll track progress and maintain an organized workflow, ensuring smooth communication with project managers and clients. You’ll participate in team meetings to discuss translation requirements, goals, and strategies for improvement. You’ll provide feedback and suggestions for improving translation workflows and processes across the team.
