Description:

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to help produce high-quality audio content for our podcast. You’ll be responsible for editing audio recordings, removing unwanted noises, and enhancing sound quality to deliver professional results. You’ll collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to understand the desired tone, pacing, and style for each episode. You’ll work with raw audio files to eliminate background noise, adjust volumes, and correct any technical issues. You’ll add music, sound effects, and transitions to bring each episode to life, enhancing the overall listening experience. You’ll incorporate music, sound effects, and transitions to enhance storytelling and make episodes more engaging for listeners. You’ll work with the production team to incorporate feedback and ensure final edits meet the desired vision for the episode. You’ll assist in creating promotional snippets, teasers, or audiograms to promote episodes across social media and other platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• Create audiograms, teaser clips, or social media snippets from full episodes using tools like Headliner, Descript, or Adobe Audition.
• Maintain an archive of raw and edited files, keeping backups organized for future edits, remasters, or republishing needs.
• Adjust editing based on guest dynamics, content type (interview vs. solo), and intended audience.
• Help standardize the podcast’s sound—keeping tone, volume, and pacing consistent across episodes and seasons.
• Recommend music, jingles, or sound design elements when requested to elevate the brand identity.

Preferred:

• Familiar with podcast publishing tools like Anchor, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, or RSS management.
• Familiar with audio enhancements such as compression, EQ, and normalization.
• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Audio Editor, Podcast Producer, or Creative Director.
• Able to sync multi-track recordings and balance guest and host audio levels.
• Pays attention to detail in removing unintentional mistakes, repetitions, or off-topic content.

You’ll organize raw podcast files and edit them efficiently, ensuring that no content is lost in the process. You’ll be part of a collaborative remote team, contributing to the success of an exciting and dynamic podcast series.
