We’re hiring an Actuary Trainee who’s passionate about numbers, risk, and turning data into real-world decisions — no experience required, just strong math skills and a curious, analytical mind. You’ll assist in building models that help predict outcomes like claim frequency, life expectancy, or financial losses. We’ll teach you how to build models that simulate future events like claims, investment returns, or demographic shifts. You’ll learn to use industry-standard tools and spreadsheets to simulate future scenarios and analyze risk exposure. Expect to work on both short-term projects like pricing support and long-term forecasting across multiple sectors. You’ll learn about reserves, premiums, and solvency — and how actuaries help companies stay financially prepared. We’ll show you how to build assumptions into models and stress test them against real-world scenarios. You’ll participate in scenario modeling and learn how small assumptions can lead to big financial impacts. We’ll introduce you to stochastic methods, credibility theory, and the building blocks of solvency calculations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Support internal audit or risk committees by preparing clear and concise reports.
• Take a proactive role in identifying risks before they become expensive problems.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws, insurance regulation, and actuarial standards of practice.
• Communicate uncertainty, confidence intervals, and model limitations honestly and effectively.
• Collaborate with data engineers or analysts to streamline data pipelines and improve accuracy.

Preferred:

• Able to collaborate with underwriters, analysts, and finance teams on cross-functional projects.
• Wants to grow into roles like Associate Actuary, Pricing Analyst, or Risk Consultant.
• Can contribute to product development, solvency modeling, or strategic planning initiatives.
• Enjoys solving complex quantitative problems with real-world financial impact.
• Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., SOA, CAS, IFoA) with exams passed or in progress.
