Description:
We’re offering a Web Designer Trainee position for someone who’s ready to turn sketches into scroll-stopping digital experiences — no experience required, just a creative mindset and a desire to grow. You’ll assist in designing user-focused websites that are clear, accessible, and aligned with business goals. We’ll teach you the fundamentals of layout, contrast, spacing, and how to create balance across a page. You’ll help turn ideas into wireframes and wireframes into polished UI designs using tools like Figma or Adobe XD. Expect to collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and clear design handoffs. You’ll collaborate with copywriters, developers, and marketers to align visuals with content and strategy. We’ll guide you through mobile-first thinking, web accessibility, and how to keep users at the center of every decision. You’ll help with creating icons, selecting fonts, and sourcing images that elevate the brand. We’ll show you how to balance aesthetics with usability — designing pages that are intuitive, not just impressive.
Basic Qualifications:
- Help optimize load times by creating lightweight assets and considering performance in your design.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure your designs are implemented accurately and responsively.
- Refine designs based on feedback, testing, or performance data.
- Manage your workload across multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and explain the thinking behind your choices.
Preferred:
- Enjoys transforming ideas into visually engaging and intuitive digital interfaces.
- Understands how to balance aesthetics with usability, performance, and content hierarchy.
- Open to conducting basic usability tests or A/B testing to validate design effectiveness.
- Thrives in collaborative, feedback-driven environments with a blend of creativity and precision.
- Knows how to optimize design assets for fast load times and clean visual presentation.
Benefits:
- Access to premium design tools — Figma Pro, Adobe CC, IconScout, and more.
- Freedom to explore bold ideas — we love creativity that pushes boundaries.
- Work with devs who actually respect designers — no “make the logo bigger”.
- Space to play — design for web, mobile, branding, and beyond.
- Build a stunning portfolio while building real products — win-win.
You’ll participate in feedback sessions and iterate based on both peer review and user testing. You’ll participate in feedback loops, design reviews, and client revisions to sharpen your decision-making skills. This role is great for someone who’s both visual and logical — and excited to see their work live online. We’ll support your skill-building with daily practice, templates, and creative mini-challenges. You’ll walk away with portfolio-ready projects and a clear understanding of the web design workflow. By the end of the traineeship, you’ll be able to design confidently for real clients and real users. You’ll leave with a strong portfolio, better instincts, and an understanding of what makes a website work — not just look nice. If you’re ready to bring your design instincts to the digital world — we’re ready to help you sharpen them.
