Description:
We’re looking for Paramedic Dispatcher Trainees who may not have experience, but have the heart to help and the voice to stay calm. You don’t need a background in emergency work — just a willingness to listen, learn, and grow step by step. You’ll be the first voice someone hears in their worst moment, and how you speak can change everything. You’ll learn how to gather critical information fast: location, condition, situation — without missing a beat. You’ll learn to track ambulances in real time, prioritize incoming calls, and dispatch units with speed and precision. You’ll hear fear, pain, confusion — but your calm tone will be the first sign that help is coming. We’ll teach you how to use dispatch software, radio systems, GPS tracking, and communication protocols. You’ll learn how to prioritize calls, juggle simultaneous events, and reroute ambulances based on real-time emergencies. This is a team that looks out for each other — because when the work is hard, support makes all the difference.
Basic Qualifications:
- Monitor field unit statuses to ensure timely arrival and patient transport.
- Reassure panicked or distressed callers and keep them on the line when necessary.
- Provide callers with step-by-step instructions for basic first aid or CPR until help arrives.
- Double-check call details to reduce dispatch errors and miscommunications.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Preferred:
- Committed to continuous performance review and improving response efficiency.
- Familiar with HIPAA guidelines and the importance of handling medical information confidentially.
- Pays close attention to detail when recording caller data, response times, and location information.
- Thrives in roles where clear thinking and fast action can directly save lives.
- Capable of quickly updating unit statuses, rerouting crews, and documenting outcomes.
Benefits:
- Supportive supervisors who know the job — because they’ve done it too.
- Get recognition for calm under pressure, accurate dispatches, and lifesaving moments.
- We celebrate wins — perfect dispatches, zero-hold times, lives saved.
- You may never see the lives you save, but you'll feel the impact daily.
- Comfortable, ergonomic dispatch center with real chairs, good lighting, and working coffee machines.
You’ll learn not just technical skills, but emotional tools — like how to stay centered, even when others are overwhelmed. You don’t have to be perfect — just present, reliable, and ready to improve a little every day. You’ll be taught to document quickly and precisely — because even the smallest detail can make a difference later. You’ll help ensure every second is used wisely — from call pickup to wheels rolling toward the scene. You’ll gain emotional resilience — not by avoiding intensity, but by learning how to process it with strength. You’ll finish each shift knowing you truly helped — not by doing everything, but by being steady when it counted. You’ll leave each shift proud, maybe tired, but certain that your voice helped someone hold on a little longer. If you’re ready to build skill gently but steadily — we’re ready to walk that journey with you from day one.
