Description:

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to support our team with accurate and insightful research. You’ll be responsible for conducting online research on a variety of topics, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and reliable. You’ll sift through articles, reports, and other resources, extracting the key insights and data points that are most valuable to our team. You’ll track and organize research findings, making sure key insights are easily accessible to the team. You’ll compile reports and present findings in a concise format, summarizing large amounts of data into digestible insights. You’ll assist with competitive analysis, tracking industry shifts, and finding new opportunities for growth and development. You’ll help with competitor analysis, market research, and gathering data for product development or marketing purposes. You’ll provide support in a wide range of topics, from market research to technical data, and everything in between. You’ll work across a variety of topics, from market research to industry analysis, adapting your approach based on the project.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use advanced search techniques, filters, and databases (Google Scholar, LinkedIn, government sites, etc.) to get better results faster.
• Track emerging trends, competitor activity, or market developments by setting up alerts, feeds, or scheduled checks.
• Verify facts across multiple sources to ensure reliability, and flag anything that looks questionable or outdated.
• Above all, treat every task as a puzzle—your job is to find the best, most useful information and package it clearly.
• Update existing research reports or databases with fresh info as it becomes available.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Content Strategist, Research Analyst, or Data Journalist.
• Comfortable verifying facts, dates, or quotes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Has supported blog writing, business planning, outreach, or product development with research.
• Able to manage time effectively when juggling multiple research tasks or deadlines.
• Enjoys digging deep into unfamiliar topics and learning along the way.
