Description:

We’re hiring a Residential Electrician to wire, repair, and upgrade electrical systems in homes and apartments — perfect for someone who values safety, neat work, and client satisfaction. You’ll perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in offices, retail centers, schools, hotels, and multi-use properties. You’ll assess each situation on-site, identify the root cause, and make safe, temporary or permanent repairs depending on conditions. You’ll troubleshoot household issues such as tripped breakers, flickering lights, faulty outlets, and overloaded circuits. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment such as transformers, switchgear, pumps, compressors, and control panels. You’ll troubleshoot issues in real time — whether it’s a short circuit, overloaded line, or unexpected power loss. You’ll ensure proper grounding and bonding of all systems and verify continuity for safety and functionality. You’ll document each job thoroughly, including time of arrival, actions taken, materials used, and photos of damage and resolution. You’ll coordinate with janitorial, security, HVAC, and IT departments when electrical work overlaps with their systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Dispose of scrap materials responsibly and keep job sites clean and organized.
• Handle emergency service calls, power outages, or urgent repairs as needed.
• Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and code changes through ongoing training.
• Maintain licensing and certifications as required by local and national regulations.
• Take pride in work that quite literally keeps the lights on—safely and reliably.

Preferred:

• Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
• Thrives in hands-on, high-responsibility environments where attention to detail is essential.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Familiar with installing new electrical infrastructure during renovations or new construction projects.
• Organized with job documentation, permit handling, time tracking, and reporting service records.

You’ll rotate between regular shifts, emergency calls, and after-hours coverage based on building requirements.
