Description:

We’re looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our remote team and produce visually compelling video content. You’ll be responsible for editing raw footage, adding sound effects, music, and creating polished videos that align with our brand vision. You’ll collaborate with the content team to understand project requirements and bring their vision to life through high-quality video production. You’ll add creative effects, transitions, audio, and graphics to enhance the overall quality and impact of the video content. You’ll ensure all videos are properly color corrected, audio is clear, and the final product meets professional standards. You’ll help incorporate music, sound effects, voiceovers, and graphics to enhance the quality of the video and the viewer’s experience. You’ll ensure videos are optimized for each platform, from YouTube to Instagram, tailoring content to each audience’s preferences. You’ll manage multiple video editing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising on quality.

Basic Qualifications:

• Incorporate feedback with a flexible mindset—tight turnarounds are common, and clarity is key.
• Stay updated with video trends, platform algorithms (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, IG Reels), and viral editing styles.
• Adapt your editing style to suit different clients—clean and corporate vs. bold and Gen Z, depending on the brief.
• Create intro/outro animations, lower thirds, or branded overlays that reinforce visual identity without overwhelming the viewer.
• Cut, trim, and arrange clips for flow and pacing, adding transitions, titles, music, sound effects, and motion graphics as needed.

Preferred:

• Able to take initiative and suggest creative improvements to enhance video impact.
• Familiar with cloud storage and collaboration tools like Google Drive, Frame.io, Dropbox, or Trello.
• Open to feedback and quick to revise based on direction or creative briefs.
• Enjoys telling stories through visuals and crafting emotionally resonant edits.
• Values clarity, emotion, and creativity in every frame.
