Description:
We’re hiring a Factory Operator to support operations in our metal processing facility — ideal for someone who’s strong, focused, and committed to safety in an industrial environment. You’ll operate heavy-duty equipment such as press brakes, rollers, furnaces, or cutting machines depending on your assigned station. You’ll be responsible for loading raw ingredients, monitoring batching systems, and ensuring proper portion control. You’ll monitor gauges, temperatures, and pressure indicators to ensure operations stay within safety tolerances. You’ll rotate through multiple workstations and machines to stay versatile and support smooth operations across all shifts. You’ll be trained to read technical drawings and measure output precisely using calipers, micrometers, or laser tools. You’ll work from technical manuals, visual diagrams, or on-screen prompts to follow exact procedures with minimal supervision. You’ll help clean your area, reload supplies, and reset machines at the end of each shift for a smooth restart. You’ll coordinate with maintenance staff to report mechanical issues and assist in minor troubleshooting or resets.
Basic Qualifications:
- Follow work orders, blueprints, or schematics to ensure proper assembly and measurements.
- Follow start-up and shutdown procedures for assigned machines at beginning and end of shift.
- Comply with factory safety policies, including the use of PPE like gloves, goggles, or ear protection.
- Operate machinery and equipment according to safety protocols and production guidelines.
- Support coworkers and fill in on different lines when needed during peak production.
Preferred:
- Enjoys working with machines, solving production problems, and contributing to team goals.
- Understands and follows safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and proper PPE usage.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical troubleshooting and the ability to report malfunctions to maintenance staff.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks for long periods with consistency and attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling raw materials, loading/unloading equipment, and performing quality checks.
Benefits:
- A stable career path in a growing industry — manufacturing is essential, and there will always be a need for skilled operators.
- Job security — manufacturing is an essential industry, offering long-term employment prospects.
- Work with modern equipment — we invest in the latest technology to ensure you have the best tools available.
- A hands-on job with real impact — you’ll see the results of your work every day as products are made and shipped.
- Consistent, reliable hours — predictable shifts, so you can plan your life around work.
You’ll receive regular feedback and performance check-ins to support long-term growth and shift consistency. You’ll contribute to lean manufacturing efforts by identifying inefficiencies and participating in kaizen or 5S programs. You’ll help maintain production flow during weekends or holidays if scheduled, receiving proper shift differentials when applicable. You’ll receive guidance on lean production, waste reduction, and proper material usage. You’ll work as part of a disciplined team where timing, accuracy, and communication are essential. You’ll be expected to stay on your feet for long periods, lift moderate loads, and stay focused in a noisy, fast-paced environment. Prior experience in factory operations is preferred, along with comfort using touchscreens, control panels, or simple diagnostic tools. If you’re ready to power production day and night and be a vital link in the chain, we’re ready to bring you onboard full-time. If you're ready to keep production moving, meet goals, and support your team, we’re ready to have you on the floor.
