Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and accurate Transcriptionist to join our remote team and provide high-quality transcription services. You’ll be responsible for transcribing interviews, podcasts, meetings, and other audio content with high accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll ensure all transcripts are clear, complete, and error-free, accurately reflecting the content of the audio. You’ll ensure that all transcriptions are clear, organized, and meet client requirements, including timestamps and special formatting requests. You’ll proofread and edit transcriptions to eliminate any errors, ensuring the final product is polished and precise. You’ll manage multiple transcription projects, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of work. You’ll assist in the creation of specialized transcriptions for legal, medical, and technical content as required. You’ll handle confidential and sensitive information with care, following strict confidentiality protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay focused during long sessions—transcription requires mental stamina and active listening.
• Follow legal or medical terminology guidelines (if specialized) and verify technical terms through research when necessary.
• Provide captioning or subtitle files (SRT, VTT) when needed, syncing dialogue to timecodes accurately.
• Communicate professionally with clients to confirm instructions, request extensions, or clarify unclear parts of recordings.
• Stay organized with file naming, version control, and document delivery formats (e.g., DOCX, TXT, PDF).

Preferred:

• Familiar with confidentiality standards and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Comfortable working with different types of content — interviews, podcasts, legal, medical, or academic.
• Can accept feedback and revise transcripts based on reviewer comments or preferences.
• Background or interest in writing, linguistics, journalism, or data entry.
• Can follow style guides such as verbatim or clean-read depending on client requirements.
